This coming season (2025) we will be selling Last years Nuc’s that we have built up to hive size, including a super.
This we feel is a better option for the beginner bee keeper or bee keepers that is struggling with luck getting hives going.
Also a better option to be able to take honey on your first year of bee keeping,
You will be able to take Honey from these Hive this year! Unlike a 5 frame Nuc you shouldn’t.
The first year when you are building up a Nuc it is always a good thing Not to take honey on this first year, but we all think the bees are working so well, so we take some honey and then the following spring all the bees has buzzed off.
Sometimes when we dont take the honey from these Nuc’s they still may of buzzed off by the following spring, usually a Nuc just takes a little more keeping a eye on with a little more experience.

A Locally reared Buckfast Queen marked Green for 2024, The Bees on up to 11 x DN4 frames inc wired wax, with Brood and Bees, also include Honey and feed, The bees by end of April would most likely be covering about 7 to 8 frames and working on/ drawing comb on the other about 3 frames, of there build up to spring,
You will also be getting 10 x SN1 frames inc wired wax that was used to overwinter/feed these bees, that would still have Honey in or being refilled by the bees, Most of these frames (DN4 & SN1) would be new of 2024 or from splits a bit earlier, but cannot be brand new as the bees would of overwinter on them and they wouldn’t of been able to have brood or feed if brand new.
Total of 21 frames inc wired wax of 2 sizes.
You have the option of buying a Brand new or New 2nd quality hive from us to add these frames and bees into or to drop off your own hive and for us to add the frames into and for you to collect a few days later, Obviously we rear these Nuc’s / Bees in our Older Used Hives that we do not sell.
If buying our Hives this option is £300. – “inc £50 discount” = Bees ect on 21 frames. + The cost of the hive. Also any delivery cost if required.
If dropping off your own hive and collecting when bees are transferred, this option is £350.
The Hives are :- 2nd Quality National Cedar painted with the choice of Green, Brown, Yellow/Gold and Red.
Also New National Poly Hives. (unpainted).
The Hives are made up of :-
One National Poly or Cedar Open Mess Floor with Entrance block and slide out tray,
One National Poly or Cedar Brood Chamber
One Queen Excluder
One National Poly or Cedar Super
One Crown Board with porter bee escape
One National Poly or Cedar 4″ Shallow Roof
11 x DN4 frames with Brood and Bees, also include Honey and feed,
10 x SN1 frames inc wired wax poss with some overwinter Honey stored.

With our Hive’s with Bees we can allow collection or we can deliver Locally Free ourselves up to around 30 miles from Ilminster, Their maybe a small delivery charge for our delivery service outside of 30 miles, Please contact us about delivery if unsure.
